The "GroovArts" store is based in France, within the European Union.


For international customers residing within the European Union, free trade agreements eliminate customs duties on most goods traded between partner countries.

Therefore, European buyers are not subject to paying import taxes and customs duties in their respective countries.


Outside the European community, the majority of countries charge customs fees and/or import taxes, which is the case for the United States of America (U.S.A.), among others.

The United States of America (U.S.A.) adopted a decree that profoundly changes customs procedures, effective August 29, 2025:

  • Commercial goods are now taxed starting from the first dollar, whereas previously they had a customs duty exemption up to 800 dollars.
  • These customs duties are payable to US Customs before items enter the United States.

These new customs taxes, with a rate of 15%, no longer allow the French Post Office to manage and ship commercial goods, even of low value, via traditional postal means.

For this major reason, it is no longer possible (for now) to send a package to the U.S.A., whether on this site or on Etsy.com where the "GroovArts" store is present.



But what about other countries?

The “groovarts.com” website does not manage the collection and remittance of taxes or customs duties for the countries detailed above (Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, India, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Norway, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey).

However, a purchasing solution exists for residents of these countries.

In the search engine of Etsy.com, search for the "GroovArts" store.

This globally renowned e-commerce platform perfectly handles the collection of applicable import taxes and/or customs duties in the relevant countries and then remits them to the tax authorities.


Only partner countries of the French Post Office whose transport allows international door-to-door tracking have been selected.
